Welcome to the Milton Keynes School Sport Partnership Primary PE & School Sport Continuing Professional Development Programme.

The programme aims to:

  • Raise the quality of teaching and learning in physical education (PE) and school sport by helping schools to deliver a broad, balanced and inclusive PE and school sport curriculum
  • Improve school’s understanding of how they can use high quality PE and sport as a tool for whole school improvement, particularly in terms of attendance, behaviour management and attainment
  • Improve school’s understanding of how they can use high quality PE and school sport to support healthy lifestyles and physical activity
  • Encourage schools to interpret the PE programme of study in a more innovative way, so that they better meet the needs of pupils and enhance achievement
  • Develop cross-phase continuity and support a whole school approach to improvement and raising standards
