The Youth Sport Trust is an independent charity devoted to changing young people's lives through sport. The Youth Sport Trust has driven many of the improvements over the last decade in PE and school sport and is continuously looking at new ways to inspire young people to participate, compete, volunteer and officiate in sport.

Leap is the brand name of the Bucks & MK Sport and Activity Partnership, a not for profit organisation, and one of 45 County Sports Partnerships nationwide, that form a key element of the delivery system for sport across England.

Leap’s aim is to enable 50,000 people to get more active for life across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes by 2018. Whether that’s through taking part, coaching, leading or volunteering in sport and activity.

The Sports Development team supports and co-ordinates a range of sporting and recreation opportunities for everyone across Milton Keynes.

In 2014 Milton Keynes council, in association with the Milton Keynes Sports Board, published the Milton Keynes Sport and Active Communities Strategy (MKSACS). This strategy defines the long term vision for sport in Milton Keynes and includes strategic priorities with a vision for their realisation.

The School Games is a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport. The School Games Mark is an awards scheme which rewards schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school. OfSTED use the Mark award as part of their inspection framework and schools can use it as a development tool to aid the PE teacher or Headteacher.
